The Business Council for Sustainable Development has promoted the creation of a program on Climate Change through the INNOVA Center, which serves as the operative branch and coordinator of the BCSD-LA’s education and communication projects.

Through this program, both entities seek to promote the combined and responsible action among different sectors of Latin American society to participate in the search for solutions of this complex problem. It is necessary to point out the Latin American business presence in the Conference of the Parties (COP) 4, 5, and 6 of the UNFCCC with the public adhesion of the Latin American private sector to be part of this effort. Through this commitment, the Latin American private sector is already part of the solution of this problem before the Climate Change Convention imposes any obligations on Latin American countries.
